A Recap for our New Listeners

For our new visitors, welcome. Be sure to download and listen to our first 8 podcast episodes that have proven to be very popular at iTunes. If you have already listened to them, you may want to refresh your memory with Podcast #001: Starting Out Right and Podcast #002: The Backwards Website Development Trap. Both episodes discuss setting goals and targeting your market which should always be the first things you do BEFORE developing your website. Unfortunately, this is the #1 mistake most website owners make and it puts webmasters on the wrong track from the get-go.

Many people who have written us have said that once they start listening to our podcasts, they can't stop because they learn so much. They learn things that totally make sense to them - finally. Shockingly, what they discover is the exact opposite of how they were taught to develop a website.

Even the most seasoned web developers are writing us with many thanks. They are saying they had an epiphany and are running with dozens of new ideas regarding what a website should really be doing for them and their clients.

If you are not a Mac oriented person, iTunes is compatible with Windows now or you can download our podcasts directly from our website. Our podcasts are also available at many podcast directories and from the Podcast Directory at Yahoo.

So until our next podcast, ...

Yahoo Podcasts: Effective Website Secrets

Yahoo! Podcasts
Great news! Our popular podcasts are now listed in the Yahoo Podcast directory. Actually, we've been listed there from the first day Yahoo started their podcast directory. I guess Yahoo likes us too but that's no surprise to 1000s of our loyal podcast subscribers.

Anyway, if you are not fond of iTunes or Mac products, you can now subscribe to our audio podcasting shows via Yahoo Podcasts or listen to all your favorite podcasts (including ours, of course!) through this fabulous directory that grows larger every day.

Podcasts Climbing iTunes Top 100

Hello loyal listeners! After a much longer than anticipated hiatus, we will be producing our next podcast (#009) soon. Not to worry. I am live, well, and lending a helping hand with a great deal of behind the scenes activites over at BasicTemplates.com.

Even though we have not produced a podcast in what ... nearly 6 weeks?! Yikes! ... our podcasts are still climbing the charts over at iTunes. Today we ranked #78 in the Top 100 Podcasts. Now that is the Top 100 Podcasts in *all* of iTunes - not just our related category. We just surpassed Larry David, former producer of "Seinfeld" and currently producer of the popular TV show, "Curb Your Enthusiasm". We also recently jumped ahead of George W. Bush's weekly podcast which is now ranked at #93.

#78 Top 100 iTunes Podcasts

In our next podcast I'll be sharing a great deal of mail that continues to come in. I'll also give you some tips on what you can do to maximize your time during those periods that are a little slower than most. Give me a little bit of time to organize all of our mail to include in the podcast, and I'll back with you in no time.

Keep it Basic ...
